The Dark Zone

  1. Prologue

    His irresistible curiosity drove him towards the window. Leaning, he saw a dimming light, and he knew the dark zone was somewhere there. He could never explain why did he feel like that, but that was it. A search for a lifetime was coming to an end. And he knew what it meant. His deep belief that the zone never ever let anyone go out of it made him think twice before unlocking him out of his room and follow the darkness. But that was liberating, knowing that the game he was waiting for years had just begun ...





  2. Introduction

    He knows that there does not exist a city named "morbid". But every time some one asked "and you are from", it took him a while to answer. On a bright sunny day, when he crosses the road, he mumbles. If you carefully listen to him, you can figure out that he is repeatedly uttering one single word - "morbid", the "m" being a little unclear. As if the name stays with him, through the bright sunny days, to what he called regular drizzling "Seattle day"s. He takes the Seattle 545 bus, but he often fails to connect the bus route number with the city he lives in. He often misreads it as "Morbid 545". He never confided this to anyone. Everyone is scared of being caught hallucinating, which in itself is a hallucination.
